The thing I love most about summer where my wardrobe is concerned? It gives me the perfect excuse to break out the brights BIG time and choose classic summery colours from head to toe. White blazers (I love my one from Wallis) are THE summer staple this year it seems - though I'm sure they say that every year...! I love the in-your-face brightness of white with this tomato red and mustard yellow. A tote bag bag in a neutral colour may seem like a cop-out, but I went neutral on purpose as I think the muted olive colour is a nice contrast to the brights and actually shows off the faux ostrich leather more.

I've had too many traumatic experiences with white blazers. I try to avoid them now. At least white LINEN blazers. I was always a wrinkled mess before I left the house in that!
ReplyDeleteOh no, Wendy! Guess what - I didn't realise the blazer was dry clean only. I was so taken with the shape and fit I forgot to check. Contemplating a cool hand wash. But it's not linen, so I might be okay :/

Thank you Annette! I try if possible to take them in the golden hour - which is the hour before sunset - as the light is at it's most beautiful and softest then (if the sun is out). These ones were taken a couple of hours before sunset and the sun would not make up its mind whether it was in or out - hence some having strong sunlight! But although I usually say avoid looking directly into bright sun for outfit posts, I think you can get away with it if a) you're wearing sunglasses, and b) you're wearing bright colours.
